Karen Strohbeen and Bill Luchsinger

Creating art has been a life-long journey for us. Growing up in rural Iowa, we both found ourselves inspired by nature and the world around us. We also resolved long ago to push our work to extremes and became some of the very first artists to use computers and digital media as far back as the 1970’s.
Creating art enables us to bring the glory of nature inside and share it with others.  Most of our subject matter is found or inspired by our Iowa farm which has also been the stage for our PBS television show, “The Perennial Gardener with Karen Strohbeen”.  We simply take what is already around us and find new ways of looking at it and depicting it.
